New York Ciy FC’s home kit was unveiled this morning to show the fans what they’ll use for the first time in the MLS from next year. The shirt is pretty simple, with a great influence from Manchester City (one of their owners, alongside New Work Yankees) on their colors, design and main sponsor. The club’s crest, voted by the fans, their name in the inner collar and a little detail for their first year at the MLS are the difference from a Citizens’ kit. The shorts will be mainly white with some blue for the side stripes, completing the uniform that will be worn by he likes of Frank Lampard and David Villa. As well as Orlando City, we have the opportunity to see the new MLS logo on both sleeves, adapting its color to the club’s, one of the biggest novelties from the rebranding that starts from next january.

What do you think about this shirt? Should they separate their identity from Manchester City’s?
