With the argentinian league going on, Adidas has taken the oppotunity to unveil River Plate’s new home kit to be first used in tomorrows match against Godoy Cruz for Copa Sudamericana. This year the jersey will be very simple, avoiding to fall into generic thanks to the stripes put horizontally on the sleeves, reminding of a design used by “El Millo” back in 1996. The rest of the shirt has few details to highlight, keeping the club’s traditional diagonal red band on the front as well in the back. The crest is the same as always, while a design withe the motto “El más grande” is on the upper back. The shorts will be mainly black with the three stripes in red and adding some white details. The socks stand out by having the diagonal band on the front.

What do you think about the shirt now that you’ve seen it in official pics? Would you rate it?
